Happy Mother's Day Mama!

When me and my sister were growing up, there was no Mother's day celebration in the house. We had no idea that there is such thing. I am not sure if it is because we are from a third world country where majority of the people were not aware about the celebration. But, as years have gone , with this "computer generation" where everything can be search and found in the internet,  I noticed  people have adopted the "western" lifestyle.

This year will be my first year celebrating Mother's day with my Mama.. I have no plan yet, but since I am working on that day, we might eat out before I go to work at our favorite restaurant. I am also thinking on buying flowers at serenata and get her a card.  I am excited on what she thinks because to my knowledge  we have not done anything  to her on Mother's day. before( unless my little sister and brother had)  and I felt bad for it. Nonetheless, I am looking forward for that day and for the flowers that will be given to her.

My little sister is always asking my parents for money, and I am so over her irresponsibility. It would be one thing if the money was for something she really needed, or my parents had any to spare, but it isn’t that way. For some reason she thinks she is a princess that is entitled to everyone elses' money. She lives in an expensive apartment with all the bells and whistles. She has clear wireless, a huge cable package, and a membership to an expensive gym. She expects my parents to help foot the bill for all these luxuries, and they give in. I know it is partly their fault, but my sister is old enough to know it’s wrong. Then I have to hear my parents complain about the fact that they have no money. If they didn’t spoil my sister so much I would be happy to help them out financially, but as long as they are behaving like this I can’t help. I know all my money will just go directly to her! That would drive me insane.

PREPARATION TO HAVE HAPPY SUMMER 2012

It is always part that before summer family heads or vacation planner in the family will take charge for the planning to have unforgettable and happy summer vacation with different outdoor and indoor activities. It will also includes a place and the budget because after considering the place if where and when the next thing to consider is the budget and it will just simply follow the income of the family and their plans. That's it. Normally this plan will fit to their finances in their own pocket.

If we plan to have outdoor and indoor activities, as a family we should take to consider the money available in our wallet that is expected in our plans because resorts owners invested their finances to the best of quality for the satisfaction of their consumers and stakeholders and as expected they would really have to have very reasonable price in there place and as a consumer we will expect that the money that we pay is observable and tangible in the place that we choose and also that satisfies us. We must take to observe and consider two things to remember: First , is the safety of our family like the sanitation and the security of the place, the pool cleanliness and the resort as a whole, like satisfying security and safety measures is always observe. Another one is the quality of there facilities they structured and placed, like the building as a whole and especially some small facilities that we often use in the resort like cottages, floating devices in pool, slides, bleachers, tables, chairs and many more because as I said and last thing to remember we should make our summer unforgettable one for the satisfaction of all the member of the family from a whole year stresses and family bonding as well.

Fox Channel Cancels Terra Nova ?

"Rumor Has It " that Fox is cancelling the TV show Terra Nova. So if this true, there would be no second season of the show. Though, I've only watched the show once or twice last season. But my husband likes the show and he always keep looking forward for the next episode.

It has been reported that Terra Nova has lost its viewers over its first season and it was an expensive show to produce.

Terra Nova is an American science fiction drama television series. It premiered on September 26, 2011 with a two-hour premiere,^[2] and concluded its first and only season thus far on December 19, 2011 with a two-hour finale.

Almost everything in my house is wireless now, including my phones and internet connections. So I called about wireless security systems for home. This age of technology changes so quickly that by the time I have a gadget or device figured out, it becomes obsolete. My grandchildren pick up the pace much faster than I. In fact, they have taught me how to find things on my computer and my cell phone. They have all the latest trends in communication and are a part of the social networking generation. When they are in their thirties, they will be reading their morning paper from the palm of their hand. They already read books on the iPad or Notebook. I guess I am showing my age, but I like the feel of a magazine or book in my hand. I like to see a full bookshelf in a home. What will happen to the printing companies, the newspaper and magazine business? Life has become so fast-paced, compact, and seemingly cold. But, making the effort to keep up to speed keeps our brains working and helps stave off Alzheimer’s Disease.

Last night I watched the 84th Oscars Academy Awards night on television. I did not finished watching the show because it was pass my bedtime. But, I have watched the highlights of the show which I find it very interesting and entertaining. The "Cirque du Soleil" presentation was awesome.
When J-Lo and Cameron Diaz, stepped out to present one of the awards of the night, I think they were both sexy and stunning. People on the web were talking all about them right after they presented the award. Some thought that J-Lo has a wardrobe malfunction which I did'nt see on TV (maybe the director did not let the camera caught her)

Creating a wonderful Easter holiday for your family

When many of us think of the Easter holiday, we think of the coming of spring and the weather warming up after what may have been a long winter. There is also the opportunity of wearing brightly colored clothes. This can be very refreshing after winter, when the wearing of heavy layers is sometimes necessary in order to combat colder climates. It is also especially gratifying to have the members of your family around. Maybe these are family members that you have not been able to see for an extended period of time. Often they chose to come from far away in order to spend time with each other.
The holidays are also fun for the children in your life, because often times any holiday comes with the promise of gifts and presents. For Easter this usually means Easter gift baskets for kids that have things like candy and other sweet things inside them. These are typically treats that are not available to them everyday and so they are more readily enjoyed when the opportunity presents itself. Part of creating a fun Easter holiday for your family is creating these Easter baskets for kids because they are often brightly colored and they serve a fun purpose.
As with any holiday there is also the food. Ham is typically served as a main course for Easter dinner and there are also often a lot of different kinds of dessert. Because there is often times such a lot to do in order to get ready for the holiday it is advantageous to seek out as much help from various friends and family members as you can. They can assist you with any kind of preparation work that you have whether that is doing things like cleaning or helping you with the cooking. It is difficult doing these kinds of things on your own so any kind of help that you have is a good thing and should be well received.

If you happen to be going over to a friend or family member?s house it is also thoughtful of you if you should decide to offer any kind of assistance to your host. There is a lot of work that goes into creating a party or celebrations of any kind no matter what numbers of people are attending the gathering. Many people also do not take into account helping with setting up or cleaning up after the party is over. Often this is the most sought after kind of help by a host and they are well appreciated after the party is over.

If you decide that you are going to be hosting a large gathering it is important for you not to be stressed and to make sure that the work that you are going through is not going to be too stressful for you. It is also important to remember that no matter what happens to be positive and ask for help should you decide that you need it.

RIP Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston was/is my favorite artist/singer of my generation. I grew up listening and singing along with her music. "I Will Always Love You" is one of my favorite song of hers.
Last night the whole world was shocked when it was reported all over the news that Whitney Houston passed away at 48. Rest in Peace my idol! You will be missed but will never be forgotten and your music will carry on forever.

Taking a break to go and see Wicked the musical

There have been so many things that have been going on in my life lately. I just sent my youngest off to college and I'm really feeling the empty nest. It's strange. At times it's nice and at other times it makes me sad that I don't have my kids around. I've been trying to keep myself occupied with work and social things so that I don't think about it too much. So far it's been working out pretty well that way. But I decided that maybe I should take a little trip to go along with that. So I'm going to New York for a weekend with a few of my friends in early December.

I went online to find out some info on getting tickets to see a Broadway play and I ran across information on ear aids. Once I looked through it some I decided to go in for a hearing test and get fitted with some hearing aids.

If I need them, I want to get that taken care of before I go on my trip anyway. I bought some tickets for us to go and see Wicked, which I've heard some fantastic things about. I'm sure it's going to follow through on those things.

Excedrin Recall

My husband takes Excedrin for his migraine. The other day he went to Walgreen's to get some because he was out of meds but to his surprised he was told that certain packages of Excedrin like the one he's been taking has been recalled. He told me when he got home, but I was not surprised because I heard on the news on the 1st week of Jan, that Novartis the maker of Excedrin will be recalling certain meds they make like Nudoz, Bufferin, and that also includes Excedrin. My husband has been using this pain reliever for years and I was worried on the side effects for taking them almost everyday as this was the only migraine over the counter medicine that works for his headache. I know the recall worries him because he thinks Ibuprofen would not work for his headache. He wishes he bought a lot before it was pulled out in the market. But, I was glad when I heard the news because I have read the side effects like liver problems and it worries me. Hopefully they can come up of new pain reliever meds that has less side effect.
